2005 -- The Centenial Year -- Events for The Einstein File:

 

Feb. 19: Dinner presentation by Fred Jerome on “Einstein on Race and Racism” at the joint annual meeting of the National Society of Black Physicists and National Society of Hispanic Physicists, in Orlando, Florida. 

March 12, 5-7 p.m.: Discussion on The Einstein File at Sisters' Uptown Bookstore, 1942 Amsterdam Ave. in New York (Manhattan) with Fred Jerome, together with author and producer Philip Rose, discussing his book, You Can't Do That on Broadway.

March 12: FJ radio interview with Mordecai Briemberg on Vancouver Cooperative Radio (“Redeye“ program), 102.7 FM, Vancouver, Canada.

March 18, 7 p.m.: FJ on “Einstein on Race and Racism” at Comosun College in Victoria, British Columbia.

March 19: FJ on “What the Einstein File Means for Today“ as part of a conference at the University of Victoria.

March 24, 11:15 a.m.: Panel discussion including a presentation by FJ on “Einstein on Race and Racism“ at the annual conference of the American Physical Society at the Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA.

April 11, 6 p.m.: Presentation by FJ on “Einstein, Surveillance and Social Activism“ at the CUNY Graduate Center (34th Street and 5th Avenue) in Manhattan.

 

April 19: Paris, France: Screening of TV documentary to be aired on May 6 on ARTE TV. Screening at the Goethe Institut in Paris, followed by a discussion with FJ and the film's producer Juergen Ast.

April 21 &  25: Presentations  and panel discussions on the newly published French edition of The Einstein File (Editions Frison-Roche, publisher; Nicole Decostre, translator) at the Village Voice bookstore in Paris, April 21, and the Libris bookstore in Brussels, April 25.

 

May 21: Presentation by FJ at meeting of the Sisters' Uptown Bookstore bookclub.

Monday, July 25, at Hue-Man bookstore: Discussion and book-signing of Einstein on Race and Racism by Fred Jerome and Rodger Taylor. Details tba.

 

Sunday, July 31 at 10 a.m., at the World Fellowship Center in New Hampshire's White Mountains, as part of a week-end of events on Civil Liberties, Fred Jerome will speak on "The Einstein File" and "discuss the history of McCarthyism through the lens of the FBI file on the great physicist/pacifist."
